Box Score WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team (22-5) saw its season come to an end with a 5-0 loss in the WIAC Team Tournament (present by Culver's) semifinals to host and top-seed UW-Whitewater. The third-place match was cancelled due to weather conditions.
 
UWSP dropped all three doubles matches by identical 8-0 scores to fall behind 3-0 in the team score.
 
In singles action, Barbara Covek (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) finished at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 defeat. At No. 4 singles, Abigail Ashley (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) also dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to complete the scoring.
 
The Pointers crushed the team single season win record with 22 this year. The previous season high was half that (11) and took UWSP just 22 days this season to surpass.
