DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams both finished second and the Pointers won 12 events in the final tune-up for next weekend's WIAC Championships.
 
Results
 
On the men's side, Blake Orr (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca) took top billing in both the discus and hammer throws. He reached distances of 46.07 meters (151' 2") and 52.44 meters (172' 0"), respectively.
 
Lucas Hart (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) picked up two event wins taking the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.02 and the 200-meter dash in 22.68 seconds.
 
Brad Brewer (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) won the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.48. In the 1500-meter run, Logan Lutz (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) clocked in at 4:07.72 to win. Josh Tarnowski won the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:06.60.
 
Makenzie Lueck (Walworth, Wis./Big Fort) won the discus and hammer throws for the women. Her distances were 38.39 meters (125' 11.00") and 45.77 meters (150' 2"), respectively.
 
Brilyn Brecka (Alma, Wis./Alma) took first place in the shot put with a distance of 12.03 meters (39' 5.75").
 
Shelby Klobuchar finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.91. Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union) took first in the 400-meter hurdles. Her time was 1:08.51.
 
Next up, the Pointers travel to La Crosse for the WIAC Championships beginning on Friday (May 6).
