Courtney Leising (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) was named the WIAC Newcomer of the Year highlighting the All-WIAC honors bestowed on the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team on Tuesday (March 8). Senior
Nicole Neuberger (Minnetrista, Minn./Orono) earned first-team All-WIAC honors with
Laina Berthiaume (South Haven, Minn./Hutchinson) and
Olivia Schultz (Maplewood, Minn./Tartan) picking up honorable mention laurels.
Mary Kremer (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead Warhawks) was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.

Leising lands the league top honor for first-year players in the league after a stellar freshman campaign. She led the team with 14 goals this season and was second on the squad with 20 points. She scored a pair of goals twice and had four multi-point games on the season. Leising twice had point streaks of five games or more this season.
Neuberger nets her second-straight first team award after a nod in 2021. She led the Pointers with 21 points and was second behind Leising in goals with 12. She tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals this season. She recorded the 28th hat trick in program history with three goals and four points in a win over Lawrence on Jan. 1. Twice this season Neuberger was named the WIAC Athlete of the Week.
Berthiaume snags her first league honor following a breakout second season with UWSP. She led the Pointers with 15 assists from her blue line position. Her 15 helpers were just four shy of tying the program single-season record. She compiled two assists in a game on five occasions and scored a goal on Nov. 3 for a season-best three-point game.
Schultz grabs her third-straight league accolade after a first-team honor last year and honorable mention award in 2020. She set a single-season school record with 771 saves this year. She posted a 2.58 goals against average, third-best in the league and the second-best season of her career. Schultz recorded three shutouts on the season. In January, Schultz was named the WIAC Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career.
Kremer earns All-Sportsmanship honors after skating in all 27 games this year. She was second on the team with 11 assists, a career-best season. She scored six goals and had three multi-point games. On Jan. 1, she score a goal and had two assists for a season-best three points.
The Pointers ended the year 12-14-0, the most wins since 2017-18. Schultz and fellow goaltender
Shayna Grais (Lincolnwood, Ill./Niles West) combined for 824 saves this year, a single-season team record. UWSP's 85 goals and 104 assists are among the top-10 seasons in program history.
