PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams completed action at the WIAC Indoor Championships (presented by Culver's) on Saturday. The women remained in sixth with 32 points while the men finished seventh with 33.50 points.

Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) landed UWSP's best finish of day two with a runner-up placing in the 800 meter run. His time of 1:55.68 was less than a second behind the leader.
 
Jared Schrang (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) took third in the 60-meter hurdles finals. He clocked in at 8.21 seconds, improving his time from Friday's prelims.
 
Nick Chesterman (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) finished third in the heptathlon. He scored 4805 points.
 
For the women, the team of Ashley Spatz (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls), Anetha Vogele (Necedah, Wis./Necedah), Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union) and Esme Reinders (Eau Claire, Wis./Regis) took fourth in the 4x400-meter relay. Their time was 4:04.96.
 
Leyna Herzog (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) and Jillian Hesse (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) each placed sixth in their events. Herzog clocked a time of 25.85 seconds in the 200-meter dash. Hesse tossed the weight throw 15.70 meters (51' 6.25").
 
The Pointers will host the Pointer Final Qualifier on Saturday (March 5) beginning at 10:30 a.m.
