STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point baseball schedule for the 2023 season has been unveiled by third-year head coach
Nat Richter. His squad will play eight home dates, all league doubleheaders, at Zimmermann Field in 2023. UWSP will play nine games against six other 2022 NCAA Tournament participants this upcoming season.

The Pointers begin the 2023 campaign in Decatur, Ill., against St. Scholastica and host Millikin on March 4. The next day, UWSP faces NCAA Tournament regional opponent Coe to close out opening weekend.
UWSP then heads to Florida for seven games at the RussMatt Invitational. The Pointers' first game in the Sunshine State is against Ithaca, an NCAA Tournament team a season ago. Two other NCAA Tournament teams, Bethel and Washington and Jefferson, are on UWSP's seven-game slate in Florida.
The season-opening road swing concludes on March 25 and 26 with a four-game set as league play begins at UW-Platteville.
The home opener is April 1 against Finlandia as UWSP hosts the Lions in four games with a pair of noon twin bills on Saturday and Sunday.
The Pointers travel to UW-La Crosse for four game and to St. Norbert for a single game before returning home for the longest homestand of the year.
Super Regional foe UW-Whitewater comes to Stevens Point for four games April 15 and 16. The homestand continues with four games against UW-Stout on April 22 and 23.
The final road trip of the season begins with a single game at Lawrence, UWSP regional opponent to begin the 2022 NCAA Tournament, on April 27. Four games at UW-Eau Claire wrap up April and the road slate.
The Pointers host UW-Oshkosh for four games on May 5 and 6 to conclude the regular season.
UWSP went 42-10 last season, a school record for wins in a season, and tied for third in the country at the NCAA Championship. All-region selections
Bradley Comer (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander),
Sidney Ferry (Paw Paw, Mich./Homeschooled) and
Payton Nelson (Wausau, Wis./West) lead a staunch group of returners. All-conference selections
Casey Pickering (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley),
Anthony Tomczak (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and
Austin Syvertson (Randolph, Wis./Randolph) also return for the Pointers. Nelson and Tomczak were named to the CWS All-Tournament Team.
