KENOSHA, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team defeated Carthage in dual action on Thursday by a 28-18 final.

Luca Paladino (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) got a major decision win (15-2) at 125. 
 
Alex Gundrum (Lomira, Wis./Lomira) picked up a win by forfeit at 157 and Mason Wheeler (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) won a 10-8 decision at 165.
 
Jerry Lipke (Milton, Wis./Milton) pinned his opponent in 3:58 at 184.  Alex Mischka (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) won by forfeit at 197.
 
Ben Gunderson (Shiocton, Wis./Shiocton) earned a 5-0 decision victory at 285.
 
The Pointers will next travel to Elmhurst, Ill., for the Al Hanke Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 15). Action starts at 9:00 a.m. and no spectators will be allowed at the event per Elmhurst policy.
