Biography

Coach Johnson: “Ben decided to take his fifth year (covid waiver) and worked hard this summer to be ready. He will bring leadership to the team, as well as stability to the lineup.”

2021-22: Posted a 17-7 record at 285…Pinned his opponent 10 times and had one win by tech fall.

2020-21: Finished the season with a 3-6 record…Earned a 3-1 decision for first win of the season against UW-Platteville (Feb. 9)…Won by decision, 5-1, versus UW-La Crosse (Feb. 19)…Picked up a 3-2 decision victory at the WIAC Championships (Feb. 28) against a foe from UW-Platteville.

2019-20: Went 8-8 on the season…Won first match of the year with a 3-2 decision at the Pointer Open (Nov. 2)…Finished sixth at the Dan Gable Open (Nov. 9) with four wins at the event…Won a 12-2 major decision in dual against Concordia (Wis.) (Jan. 16).

2018-19: Pinned Brandon Dykes of Cornell (Dec. 1) in 3:30 for his first collegiate win…Competed in six varsity matches on the year.

High School: Won back-to-back team conference championships. 

Personal: Biochemistry major…Parents Lisa and Paul…Siblings Gabby, Dom and Garrett.
