Box Score WHITEWATER, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point women's tennis players
Jenna Koepp (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) and
Faith Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) won two of the eight singles brackets at the ITA Midwest Open on Saturday. Each bracket consisted of up to 16 players in a bracket of four rounds.
Koepp won her semifinal match over Luther's Bruna Costa, 6-1, 6-2. Then in the bracket final, she earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over UW-Whitewater's Mackenzie Lindow. Including this weekend's tournament, Koepp is 13-0 in singles play this season.
Leithold took care of Luther's Montse Ramirez Mainou in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-1. In the bracket final, she defeated Gustavus Adolphus' Brooke Haddorff by a 6-4, 6-3 score. Leithold improves to 14-0 in singles play this season.
The Pointers return to team play on Wednesday (Sept. 29) with a conference match at UW-Oshkosh beginning at 4:00 p.m.
