STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point head volleyball coach Lyndsay Kooi has finalized her team's schedule for the 2021 season.  The Pointers are slated to play 13 home matches this fall at Berg Gym

UWSP's first competition in 2021 will be four matches at the University of Northwestern Tournament in St. Paul, Minn., on Sept 3 and 4.   The Pointers then play a pair of matches at the WIAC/MWC Quad at St. Norbert on Sept. 8.
 
The first home game for UWSP since October 2019 will be against Edgewood on Sept. 10 at 7:00 p.m. to kick off the Pointers Invitational I.  UWSP will also face Minnesota-Morris and Saint Mary's on the weekend. 
 
League play starts with home matches against UW-Platteville (Sept. 15) and UW-River Falls (Sept. 22).  Home matches continue with the Pointers Invitational II on Sept. 24 and 25.  Opponents include Bethel, Chicago, Millikin and St. Olaf.
 
After a six-match road swing, UWSP returns home to face Carroll on Oct. 15.  The next night, the Pointers host UW-Whitewater with both matches beginning at 6:00 p.m. that weekend.
 
Four more road matches precede the final two home matches of the year.  The home conference finale will be Oct. 29 versus UW-La Crosse.  The next evening, UWSP will wrap up the regular season at home against Carthage.
 
In 2019, the Pointers went 28-9 and reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament.  The 2021 season with be Kooi's fourth at the helm of the Pointers.  Top returners for the Pointers in 2021 include Kelsie Belfiori (Merrill, Wis./Merrill), Megan Lau (Potter, Wis./Hilbert) and Emma Peterson (Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson).
