Box Score DEPERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team (1-0) defeated St. Norbert (0-3) by a 6-3 final in head coach Matt Hockett's debut.

Kaitlyn Hess (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln) won at No. 4 singles with scores of 7-5, 6-4.  She also paired with Grace Henes (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) at No. 3 doubles to notch an 8-0 victory.
 
The Pointers No. 1 doubles team of Barbara Covek (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and Jenna Koepp (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) earned an 8-3 win.
 
UWSP got three more wins in singles.  Freshman Faith Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) won at No. 3 singles by a 6-4, 6-1 score.  Sister Chloe Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) recorded a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 6 singles.  Leah Hollander (Portage, Wis./Portage) was dominant at No. 5 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
 
The Pointers travel to UW-Superior on Saturday (March 20).  Start time is set for 12:00 p.m.
