OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams closed out the WIAC Indoor Championships (presented by Culver's) with the men moving up to fifth and the women finishing fourth.

Tom Kohn (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) took second in the triple jump with a leap of 49-00.25 (14.94 meters).  Mike Ayensu Mensah also pocketed a second-place finish with a height of 6-09.00 (2.06 meters) in the high jump.
 
The group of Sam Welch (Manawa, Wis./Manawa), Calden Wojt (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield), Quinn Brownell (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) and Evan Torgerson (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) finished second in the 4x400-meter relay clocking in at 3:20.54.
 
Wojt tied for third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.261.  Jared Schrang (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.21.
 
For the women, Kasy Walker-Daniels (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) reached a distance of 37-07.75 (11.47 meters), good for third in the triple jump.
 
Briana Simonis (Rosholt, Wis./Rosholt) finished third in the pentathlon with 3,109 points.  Her best event was the high jump which she won at a height of 5-03.75 (1.62 meters).
 
The Pointers will host the Pointer Final Qualifier on Saturday (March 7) in the Multi-Activity Center. Action begins at 10:30 a.m.
