OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams won both triple jump events and three total in the final tune-up before next week's WIAC Championships.  The men took third out of 12 teams at the Titan Challenge while the women came in fourth out of 13 teams.
 
Results
 
In the women's triple jump, Kasy Walker-Daniels (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) won the event with a leap of 37-11.50 (11.57 meters).
 
On the men's side, Tom Kohn (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) took the title in the triple jump with a distance of 49-04.25 (15.04 meters).
 
Nico Labracke (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) won the 800-meter run in a time of 1:55.18, a margin over victory by more than three seconds.
 
Abby Nelson (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) and Adrienne Lewis (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) notched a pair of runner-up finishes for the women. Nelson cleared a height of 11-04.25 (3.46 meters) to take second in the pole vault.  Lewis had a distance of 17-09.00 (5.41 meters) in the long jump to place second.
 
The Pointers return to Oshkosh on Friday (Feb. 28) for the WIAC Indoor Championships (presented by Culver's). Action on the first of the two-day championship begins at 11:30 a.m.
