GREEN BAY, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team (0-2) fell to St. Norbert University (1-0) by a score of 7-2 and to Edgewood (1-0) by a score of 8-1.

Junior
Anna Dobbe (La Crosse, Wis./Onalaska Luther) took one of the two Pointers' wins against St. Norbert in the No. 6 singles spot, 6-2 and 6-1.
Jenna Koepp (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) won the second set in the No. 1 singles spot, but came up short in the tiebreaker.
Freshmen
Barbara Covek (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and
Lillie James (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) won the other point in the No. 2 doubles spot with an 8-4 victory.
Against Edgewood, Koepp and
Nancy Cozzi (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) won in the No. 1 doubles spot, 8-2. Covek and James took the No. 2 doubles to a tiebreaker.
Koepp and
Katie Bechard (Sheboygan, Wis./North) won the second set in their No. 1 and No. 6 singles, but came up short in the tiebreaker.
Up next, UWSP will head to UW-Stout on Saturday (Aug. 31) to take on the Blue Devils at 10:00 a.m.
