UWSP Sweeps Home Dual Against Whitewater

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving team won the meet against UW-Whitewater on Saturday. The men's team won, 218.5-74.5, and the women's team won, 167-132.
 
Results
 
The relay team of Alec Jeffers (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port), William Buhler (Racine, Wis./William Horlick), Jacob Aegerter (Cross Plains, Wis./Middleton) and Payton Kilian (Coon Rapids, Minn./Spring Lake Park) won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:36.33. The team of Jacob Adamski (Mason City, Iowa/Mason City), Sam Young (Verona, Wis./Middleton), Ryan McPherson (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Tartan) and Matthew Inserra (Mount Prospect, Ill./Prospect) took second in the medley relay with a time of 1:38.98.
 
Kilian won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:46.25 and Will Lennertz (Muskego, Wis./Franklin) took second at 1:48.70. Jacob Larsen (Albany, Wis./Oregon) took first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a final time of 53.61. Jeffers followed in second with a time of 54.04, and Cameron Harris (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) took third with a time 55.65.
 
Aegerter topped the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.39. Inserra and Lennertz finished first and second in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 22.25 and 22.36, respectively.
 
Buhler finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.24. Young finished third with a time of 59.79 in the event.
 
Jeffers finished first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:58.08. Young topped the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:09.85. Young also finished first in the 400-yard IM with a final time of 4:14.23.
 
Kilian, Larsen and Lennertz finished in the top three spots in the 100-yard freestyle. Kilian finished with a time of 47.77. Larsen followed in second with a time of 48.50 and Lennertz finished third with a time of 48.73.
 
Aegerter, Larsen and McPherson topped the 100-yard butterfly. Aegerter took first with a time of 52.17, and Larsen and McPherson followed with times of 52.99 and 53.00, respectively.
 
The relay team of Kilian, Aegerter, Inserra and Larsen took first with a time of 1:26.50 in the 200-yard freestyle.
 
Evan Plummer (Eau Claire, Wis.) took first in the one-meter dive with a score of 249.80, and Brady Carrigan (Rosemont, Minn./Rosemont) took second with a score of 206.35. Plummer also topped the three-meter dive with a score of 273.85.
 
Anna Pilecky (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:51.96. Pilecky also topped the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:18.35.
 
Kaylee Benson (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) and Signe Alger (Saint Peter, Minn./Saint Peter) took first and second in the 100-yard backstroke with times of 1:03.05 and 1:03.28.
 
Maddie Taylor (Rockford, Ill./East) topped the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.01. Taylor also took first in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:57.90.
 
 Lissa Racette (Gig Harbor, Wash./Peninsula) and Tiana Cachuela (Oakdale, Minn./Park) took first and second in the 100-yard butterfly with times 1:02.47 and 1:03.13, respectively.
 
The relay team of Maggie Liska (North St. Paul, Minn./Mahtomedi), Kyra Goedken (Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon), Alger and Sydney Richetto (Wausau, Wis./East) took first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:40.80.
 
Claire Neuberger (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) took first in the one-meter dive with a score of 239.85 and Jess Posch (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) took second with a score of 196.40. Posch topped the three-meter dive with a score of 203.80.
 
Taylor took second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.24. Racette took second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:17.62 and Cachuela followed in third with a time of 2:21.16.
 
Liska and Richetto took second and third in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 25.57 and 25.98, respectively. 
 
The relay team of Alger, Taylor, Goedken and Liska finished second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:55.34.
 
The Pointers travel to Wheaton, Ill., on Dec. 6-7 for the Wheaton Invite for the last meet of the calendar year.
