UWSP Swimming Takes Nine Events Against GAC and Minnesota State

The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving team headed to Minnesota to face off against Gustavus Adolphus and Minnesota State-Mankato. The men's team fell against Gustavus Adolphus 166-133. The women's team dropped both halves of the tri-dual to GAC and MSU.

The relay team of Alec Jeffers (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port), William Buhler (Racine, Wis./William Horlick), Jacob Aegerter (Cross Plains, Wis./Middleton) and Payton Kilian (Coon Rapids, Minn./Spring Lake Park) took first in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:37.42. Kilian also finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a final time of 1:47. 83. Will Lennertz (Muskego, Wis./Franklin), Jacob Larsen (Albany, Wis./Oregon) and Owen Powell (Olney, Ill./Richland County) finished second, third, and fourth, respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle.
 
Buhler and Sam Young (Verona, Wis./Middleton) took first and second in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:00.16 and 1:00.89, respectively. Lennertz topped the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.50.
 
Jeffers finished first in the 200-yard backstroke with a final time of 1:58.43. Young topped the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing in 2:10.58.
 
Evan Plummer finished first in the three-meter dive with a final score of 264.80.
 
Anna Pilecky (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) and Haley Dees (Normal, Ill./West) took the top two spots in the 1000-yard freestyle. Pilecky finishing in first with a time of 10:59.40 and Dees finishing in second with a time of 11:30.48.
 
Claire Neuberger (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) finished first in the one-meter dive with a final score of 250.55.
 
Lissa Racette (Gig Harbor, Wash./Peninsula) finished third in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:20.41.
 
The relay team of Maggie Liska (North St. Paul, Minn./Mahtomedi), Kyra Goedken (Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon), Signe Alger (Saint Peter, Minn./Saint Peter) and Sydney Richetto (Wausau, Wis./East) finished third in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 3:49.02.
  
The Pointers travel to Northern Michigan next Saturday (Nov. 9) for a dual against the Wildcats beginning at 2:00 p.m.
