LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team (0-4, 0-2) suffered two more shutout losses on Saturday. In the first match of the day, UWSP fell 0-9 to Winona State. UW-La Crosse took down the Pointers by a 9-0 score in the nightcap.

Freshman Rebecca Goska had the closest singles showing on the day, falling 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 6 singles against the Warriors. She also recorded a 6-2, 6-1 score in the No. 6 slot against UWL.
Anna Dobbe (Stoddard, Wis./Onalaska Luther) and
Angelica Hernandez (Blue Island, Ill./Dwight D. Eisenhower) had the best doubles showing of the day in the No. 2 slot against WSU. They fell by an 8-3 score.
Lea Beckman played in the No. 5 singles in both matches. She had scores of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-0, respectively, on the day.
Next up for UWSP is a pair of home matches next Sunday (Sept. 16) against Lakeland and UW-River Falls.
