STEVENS POINT, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team defeated Lawrence University and MSOE in a pair of non-conference matches Sunday afternoon at University Courts, improving to 4-2 on the season.

UW-Stevens Point (3-2) used a doubles sweep and four singles wins to defeat Lawrence (5-8) in the day's opening match.
The doubles team of
Erin Lemmer (Wausau, Wis./East) and
Abbey Johnson (Black River Falls, Wis./Black River Falls) defeated Lindsay Holsen and Kattie Nottberg, 8-3.
Emily Kleist (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and
Kaylee Roberts (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) followed suit, knocking off Lindsey Lucas and Alexis Shannon, 8-2.
In the number three doubles match, the pair of
Elizabeth Wilichowski (Sussex, Wis./Sussex-Hamilton) and
Anna Dobbe (Stoddard, Wis./Onalaska Lutheran) earned their third-consecutive victory, defeating El Goblirsch and Tillie Teske 9-7.
In singles play, Lemmer defeated Nottberg, 6-1 and 6-3, for UWSP's first point of the match. In the number five singles match, Wilichowski knocked off Teske by scores of, 6-1 and 7-6, securing the UWSP victory.

The Pointers (4-2) used a doubles sweep to help propel UWSP to a 9-0 victory over MSOE (6-2).
The pair of Lemmer and Johnson continued to find success, defeating Carly Grant and Sammy Soeder, 9-7. The team of Kleist and Dobbe earned their second victory of the day, winning, 8-6, over Katie Clements and Cierra Smith. Wilichowski and Roberts rounded out the doubles scoring for UWSP, defeating Kim Baffin and Cali Bonie, 9-7.
In singles play, Kleist defeated Soeder by scores of, 6-2 and 6-2. The trio of Lemmer, Dobbe and Johnson put together a string of three-straight wins in straight sets.
