Oshkosh, Wis. - In its final meet of the calendar year, the UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving teams swept a conference dual at UW-Oshkosh on Friday. The men won by a score of 170-64 while the women won by 16 points at 129-113.
Results
On the men's side,
Owen Gluck (West Bend, Wis./East) won the three-meter diving event with a total score of 313.25.
Miles Townsend (Hudson, Wis./Hudson),
Jackson Aton (Berlin, Wis./Berlin), Josh Gunther and
Caleb Meixner (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) finished in first place in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The group finished in a time of 1:35.06.
Gabe Castillo and
Jacob Adamski (Mason City, Iowa/Mason City ) finished in first and second in the 100-yard breaststroke. The pair finished with times of 1:05.53 and 1:07.14.
Jackson Aton (Berlin, Wis./Berlin) and
Riley Pankratz (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) went first and second in the 100-yard freestyle. The pair finished with times of 51.89 and 52.33, respectively.

Jeremy Meerstein (Wausau, Wis.),
Miles Townsend (Hudson, Wis./Hudson) and Andy Schuetz touched first in the 200-yard medley relay. The group clocked in with a time of 1:46.65.
Ryan Altaweel (Madison, Wis. ) earned two victories in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard fly. He finished with times of 2:09.51 and 57.30, respectively, for each event.
Jared Chatterton (Kenosha, Wis. /Tremper) and
Ivan Newham (Lino Lakes, Minn. /Centennial) finish one-two in the 1,000-yard freestyle. The duo swam times of 10:43.44 and 10:47.51.
Vincent Giallombardo (Cottage Grove, Wis. /Monona Grove) finished in first place in the 200-yard freestyle. He finished with a time of 1:51.82.
Riley Patton (Madison, Wis./Memorial) pocketed a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in with a time of 22.27.
Evan Plummer (Eau Claire, Wis. ) and Gluck finished in second- and third-place respectively in the one-meter diving event. The duo's dives earned them final scores of 271.10 and 257.95.
For the women,
Jackie Braun (Sauk Rapids, Minn./) earned a set of first-place finishes in the one- and three-meter diving events. She finished with final scores of 259.90 and 256.35.
Breanna Ruffolo (Manitowoc, Wis. ) picked up first place in the 100-yard breaststroke. She finished with a time of 1:12.60.
Sydney Richetto (Wausau, Wis. /East),
Taylor Pehrson (Hanover, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville High School),
Murron Roff (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) and
Margaret Hoover (Pleasant Prairie, WI/) finished in first place in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The group finished with a time of 1:46.38. Teammates
Hannah Flak (/Wittenberg, Wis. ),
Bridget Flesher (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East), Ruffolo and
Elli Walker (Hastings, Minn. /Hastings ) finished in second place with a time of 1:51.31.
Richetto later touched in second place in the 200-yard freestyle. She finished with a time of 2:03.55. She also added a second place to her day in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in with a time of 56.56.
Marisa Skajewski (Madison Lake, Minn. ) touched in second place in the 100-yard fly. She finished with a time of 1:06.30.
Kaylee Benson (Elk River, Minn. /Elk River),
Erica Perkins (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century High School),
Anna O'Malley (St. Charles, Ill. ) and Hoover earned a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The group finished with a time of 1:56.58.
O'Malley and Benson added first- and fourth-place finishes, respectively, in the 200-yard IM. The pair finished with times of 2:18.88 and 2:31.07. O'Malley added another victory to her day in the 500-yard freestyle, where she clocked in with a time of 5:35.60.
Perkins,
Kassie Yeazel (Whitewater, Wis./) and Hoover went second-third-fourth in the 50-yard freestyle. The trio finished with times just under 30 seconds.
Sam James competed in the 1,000-yard freestyle where she finished in fourth. She swam a time of 12:28.94.
The Pointers return to action on Jan. 19 (Fri.) and 20 (Sat.) as they host the Point Invite at the UWSP Aquatics Center.
