RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team took both matches of the day, defeating Dubuque, 5-4, and UW-River Falls, 7-2, on Saturday at Ramer Field Courts.

In its first match of the day, UW-Stevens Point (6-5) won four singles matches and a doubles match to defeat Dubuque (9-7), 5-4.
The team of
Elizabeth Wilichowski (Sussex, Wis./Sussex-Hamilton) and
Anna Dobbe (Stoddard, Wis./Onalaska Luther) earned the lone doubles victory for the Pointers, defeating Hailey Wang and Naomi Amani, 8-1.
In singles play,
Erin Lemmer (Wausau, Wis./East) and
Abbey Johnson (Black River Falls, Wis./Black River Falls) took back-to-back matches in straight sets. Dobbe and Wilichowski followed with their second wins of the match to give the Pointers the victory.

UWSP (7-5) used a doubles sweep and four singles wins to knock off conference foe UW-River Falls (1-8), 7-2.
The teams of Johnson and
Emily Kleist (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and Lemmer and
Kaylee Roberts (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) cruised to victories, winning by scores of 8-6 and 8-1.
The pair of Wilichowski and Dobbe earned their second doubles victory of the day, defeating Marilyn Schimanski and Haley Solenberg, 8-5.
In singles play, Lemmer, Johnson, Dobbe and Wilichowski each won in straight sets with the four-some only conceding 10 total games.
The Pointers will return to action next Friday (Oct. 13), playing host to UW-La Crosse for a 3:30 p.m. meet at University Courts.
