MEQUON, Wis. – Sophomore Donny Ralston (Ladysmith, WI/Bruce) placed sixth at the CUW Open on the Concordia University (Wis.) campus on Saturday, earning a victory by fall in a time of 2:38 over John Hinson, one of three wins for Ralston on the day.

Freshman Andrew Whelan (Mondovi, WI/EC Memorial) also picked up a victory by fall in the heavyweight class, doing so in 1:54.  Cody Nielsen (Oconto Falls, WI/Oconto Falls) pinned Chris Wilson from Wabash in 44 seconds, one of two wins for the junior in the 184 weight class.

In the 174 weight class, sophomore James Borgen (Amherst, WI/Amherst) won by fall over Garret Gross of MSOE in a time of 1:51.  Junior Joe Crook (Spring Green, WI/River Valley) also earned a fall at 1:51 in the 157 class for UWSP.

The Pointers return to Berg Gym on Tuesday (Nov. 22) for a 7:00 p.m. conference dual against UW-Oshkosh.
