Molly (Cady) Schultz (Major: Physical education, 1999-2002) Women's Soccer: In her four-year career at UW-Stevens Point, Schultz was a three-time First Team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selection and was instrumental in helping the Pointers post a 32-0 record in WIAC play. She helped her teams win WIAC regular season and tournament titles and make NCAA Tournament appearances in each of her four seasons. Overall, Schultz's teams went 75-12-2 in her career. The midfielder was a three-time all-region selection and was the WIAC Player of the Year in her senior season of 2002. Schultz's 20 assists in 2000 are a UWSP single-season record and are tied for the most by a WIAC player in a single season. She also holds the UWSP record for assists in a game with five against Edgewood on Nov. 1, 2000. For her career, Schultz ranks fifth in WIAC history in assists (43) and 10th in points (129).
Dena (Zajdel) DiVincenzo (Major: Communication, German, 1995-98) Softball: DiVincenzo was a four-year standout on the softball diamond and was a key part of the 1998 Pointers national championship team that is in the UWSP Athletics Hall of Fame and was the first WIAC team to win a softball national championship. She ranks fourth all-time in program history in batting average (.390) and is tied for fourth in triples (11). DiVincenzo also helped the 1996 UWSP team to the College World Series and a regional championship. She was a three-time All-WIAC performer and a Third Team All-American in her senior season. DiVincenzo also holds program records for games in a season (55 in 1998) and runs in a season (50 in 1996). Following her career, she was named to the WIAC All-Time Softball team in 2012.
Dr. John "Jack" Larsen, Administration, Friend of Athletics: Dr. John "Jack" Larsen served as the Director of Admissions at UW-Stevens Point from 1964-96 and made many important contributions to Pointers Athletics in that role. One of his duties was to handle special admissions, where he worked with coaches and administrators to make accommodations for students with outstanding talents to come to the university and succeed academically. Larsen also met with countless prospective students at the request of coaches and his enthusiasm for UWSP and Pointers Athletics was evident in his recruiting. His contributions to Pointers Athletics also included serving as the official scorekeeper for men's basketball for 25 years, being a track & field official for 20 years, officiating preseason football scrimmages and freshmen games, swimming meets and umpiring baseball games. Larsen continues to support UWSP Athletics today as a member of the Backcourt Club, which he joined in 1964. He was also a stalwart member of the Quarterback Club for nearly 30 years and was co-chair of the football banquet in the 1970s.
1955 Football Team: The 1955 UW-Stevens Point football team is the only undefeated football team in school history and may be the only team sport to finish a season unblemished. The Pointers went 8-0 overall and 6-0 in conference play. Eleven team members are enshrined in the UWSP Athletics Hall of Fame, along with two coaches.
