STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point director of athletics
Brad Duckworth has appointed Ashley Kopp as the initial Athletics Program Manager.
"Few people embody what it means to be a Pointer quite like Ashley Kopp," said Duckworth. "As a four-time All-American, she set a standard of excellence as a student-athlete, and she has continued that same commitment through earning her undergraduate degree, completing her MBA, and gaining experience across our department. Ashley has earned every opportunity through hard work, professionalism, and a genuine passion for UWSP. We are thrilled to have her join us in a full-time administrative role, and I have no doubt she is going to be phenomenal."
Kopp is no stranger to UWSP having completed one of the best four-year volleyball careers in program history in 2024. Since her playing days, Kopp has remained integrated in UWSP athletics as an administration intern for the 2025-26 season. That role was a continuation and elevation of the duties she performed during her playing days as a student worker.
During her internship role last season, Kopp oversaw student workers at sporting events, performed administration duties, shadowed administrators and much more. She had an unmatched willingness to take on whatever task was asked. She sold tickets at events, managed concession stands, met visiting teams and public address announced.
Kopp has additional experience in the athletics as an intern at her alma mater, Muskego High. There, she helped to implement a flag football program for female students. She assisted in the creation of fall schedules, including facility reservations, transportation scheduling and game official coordination.
During her playing career at UWSP, Kopp was the first-ever four-time All-America selection in WIAC volleyball history. Her 2,209 career kills are the second-most in WIAC history and the 21st-most in Division III history. A two-time Academic All-American, Kopp became the first player in program history with 500 kills in four-straight seasons and led the Pointers to the NCAA Tournament in all four years.
Kopp completed her undergraduate degree in health science and wellness at UWSP in May 2024. She will complete her master of business administration degree at UWSP in August.
