Here's your chance to dunk UW-Stevens Point women's basketball coach
Shirley Egner!
Coach Egner will appear in the celebrity dunk tank from 8:30-9 a.m. as part of the Cops on a Rooftop fundraiser at Dunkin' Donuts in Plover on Friday, August 14.
"I am excited to have an opportunity to help raise funds for Special Olympics and to give all Pointer fans a chance to dunk me," said Egner.
In addition to the dunk tank, police officers will sit on the rooftop of the Dunkin' Donuts at 3005 Village Park Drive in Plover from 6-11 a.m. to raise funds for the Law Enforcement Torch Run and increase awareness of the Special Olympics movement.
The funds raised help Special Olympics athletes continue to participate in sports and become champions of respect, acceptance and inclusion.
NCAA Division III and its member schools have had a partnership with Special Olympics since 2011. The partnership is designed to improve the lives of Special Olympics athletes through their involvement with Division III student-athletes and to foster a mutual learning experience between Division III student-athletes and Special Olympics athletes.
The event will also feature giveaways, a basket raffle and free medium coffee for your donation.Â
