WHEATON, Ill. – Ben Vosters (Hatley, WI/Wittenberg-Birnamwood) posted a fifth-place finish to lead the UW-Stevens Point wrestling team to a 14th-place finish at the 2015 Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational.

At 125-pounds, Vosters finished fifth, going 6-2 at the event, posting a 3-1 win in sudden victory over Jimmy Panozzo of Augustana. Vosters was unseeded entering the event and posted a victory over NCAA qualifier Tommy Poynter of Wabash.

At 184-pounds, Cody Nielsen (Oconto Falls, WI/Oconto Falls) finished with a 4-3 record, falling in the seventh-place match, placing eighth.

Anthony Freese and Dan Squires (Muskego, WI/Wisconsin Lutheran) also posted 2-2 records at the event for UWSP.

Jared Kust (Shawano, WI/Shawano) and Logan Hermsen (Amherst Junction, WI/Amherst) were each a match away from pacing.

The Pointers close out Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual meet action on Friday, Feb. 6 at UW-La Crosse. Action from La Crosse begins at 7 p.m.
