Box Score 1 STEVENS POINT, Wis. - Brielle Bierman and Morgan McConachie scored late goals to lead visiting St. Thomas to a 2-0 win over the UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon at Community Stadium at Goerke Park.
Box ScoreWith the score deadlocked at 0-0 in the 75th minute, Bierman got in behind the UW-Stevens Point (0-2-0) defense and scored the game-winning goal for St. Thomas (1-1-0). McConachie doubled the Tommies' lead with 38 seconds remaining on an unassisted goal.
St. Thomas outshot UW-Stevens Point 19-2 in the game, including 10-2 in shots on goal.
Kristen Churkey (Mosinee, WI/D.C. Everest) made eight saves in the loss for the Pointers, while Tarynn Theilig made a pair of saves for the Tommies.
In the second game of the day, Concordia-Moorhead scored in the final minute of the first overtime to defeat UW-Oshkosh 1-0.
UW-Stevens Point hosts St. Olaf on Wednesday, September 3 at the Point Soccer Bowl at 2 p.m.
