LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (9-5-8) saw its season end in the WIAC Tournament semifinals (presented by Culver's) with a 9-0 defeat at UW-La Crosse (17-2-1).
The Eagles broke on top in the third minute with what turned into the match-winner.
The Pointers held the deficit at 1-0 until the 35th minute. UWL tacked on three goals in just under 10 minutes to take a 4-0 lead into the break.
The Eagles piled on four more goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Another UWL goal in the 77th minute completed the scoring.

Ainsley Katte (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) had 10 saves in 58:24 of play.
Erika Panella (Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine) played the final 31:36 and made four saves.
Senior
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) led the way with three shots in the match. She finishes her career with 21 goals, 10 of which were scored this season, and three of her career game-winner were this season.
