Max Frederick (New London, WI/New London) threw his first career shutout in game one before Anderson (Ind.) gave the fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point baseball team its first loss of the season in a doubleheader on Sunday, March 16 at Henley Field.

Frederick held the Ravens (6-2) to just three hits and three walks in the complete game shutout and struck out four. The complete game was the third for Frederick in his UWSP career.
The Pointers (4-1) scored at least one run in five of their six innings at the plate, including each of the first four.
Taylor Carlson (Madison, WI/LaFollette) and
Kyle McHugh (Polonia, WI/Rosholt) led the way offensively, going a combined 7-for-8 with three runs and six RBIs for UW-Stevens Point.
Carlson had an RBI single in the first and a three-run home run in the fourth to break the game open as part of his 4-for-4 day at the plate. McHugh knocked in two runs with RBI singles in the fourth and sixth innings and was 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

The Pointers jumped out to a 3-0 lead but the Ravens scored the last seven runs of the game in the fifth and sixth innings.
UW-Stevens Point scored unearned runs in the first and fifth and another on a wild pitch in the fifth and
Zach Wendorf (Merrill, WI/Merrill) was sharp over the first four innings as UWSP built the three-run lead.
However, Anderson scored five times in the fifth and added two more in the sixth. Cole Heberling hit a three-run home run in the fifth and Boston Fields added a two-run shot in the sixth for the Ravens.
Anderson starter Brian Page did not allow an earned run in four innings, as three Ravens pitchers combined to give up five hits in the game.
Brandon Kranz (Waukesha, WI/West) had two of UW-Stevens Point's five hits.
