STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team lost in overtime to the Blugolds of UW-Eau Claire Saturday afternoon.

The Blugolds stuck early as they scored twice within the first eight minutes of the game.
The Pointers defense was then able to shut down the Blugolds offense for the remainder of regulation.

Angela Gallow (Menasha, WI/Menasha) recorded her 3rd and 4th goals of the season in the second half to tie the game up at two apiece eventually sending the game into overtime.
59 seconds into OT, Eau Claire's Gina Williams kicked the game winning goal to put the Blugolds up 3-2.

Kristen Churkey (Mosinee, WI/D.C. Everest) finished the afternoon with six saves while her counterpart Nina Behrenbrinker recorded seven.
UW-Stevens Point (5-3, 1-2 WIAC) returns to action as they travel to Superior on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. to take on the Yellow Jackets in conference action.
