SUPERIOR, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period but came up short in a 3-2 overtime loss to UW-Superior Friday night.

Trailing 2-0 midway through the third period,
Nick Kenney (Wixom, MI/Walled Lake Western) put the Pointers (3-3) on the board with his fourth goal of the season off an assist from
Alex Brooks (Grand Rapids, MI/).
Less than five minutes later
Kyle Politz (Apple Valley, MN/Apple Valley) tied the game with his third goal of the season.
Kevin Gibson (Grosse Pointe, MI/North) assisted on the game-tying goal.
The Pointers didn't get a shot off in the overtime period as the Yellowjackets' Mike Orosey netted the game-winning goal.
UWSP goalie
Nick Graves (Hewitt, WI/Ashwaubenon) recorded 22 saves, and Brooks led the Pointers with four shots.
The Yellowjackets (4-1) outshot the Pointers 25-16.
UWSP and UW-Superior faceoff again on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in Superior.
