STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Ryan Conat (New London, WI/New London) won the 174-pound weight class and two other Pointers placed third in their respective classes Saturday in the annual Pointer Open wrestling tournament at Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Conat won two matches via the pin and won his weight class with a 3-1 decision.

Jordan Kust (Clintonville, WI/Shawano) placed third in the 141-pound division by winning his first match with a 9-4 decision before losing Ryan Lubeck, who eventually won the weight class.

Shane Sweeney (Madison, WI/Edgewood) also placed third in the 149-pound division by earning a 10-2 major decision in his first match and a 12-6 decision in his second match before losing to eventual champion Ryne Cokeley.

Both Jordan Koranda (Marshfield, WI/Marshfield) and Jordan Schulte (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee) placed fourth in their respective weight classes.
