The Pointers (15-4, 4-1 WIAC) were determined to get back on the winning track after losing to UW-Whitewater Wednesday.
“It was really important that our team came back and was able to rebound from that loss [to UWW],” said Pointers Head Coach Stacey White. “Tonight it was a complete turnaround. Back row players were passing well, and that made a big difference.”
Playing their first game of the season in the friendly confines of Berg Gym also gave the Pointers a boost.
“The players were really excited to play in front their friends and family,” said White. “I think that provided a little extra intensity and they came out excited. The crowd was awesome tonight.”
The Pointers play at home Saturday, Oct. 6 when they host UW-Stout on Parents Day. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m.
