CUBA CITY, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team placed fourth in the nine-team field at the 2012 WIAC Cross Country Championships at Cole Acres Golf Course hosted by UW-Platteville.
Julia Colling (Maplewood, MN/North) finished as the Pointers' top runner at 7
th overall with a time of 22:22.0.
The next pack of Pointers to come across the line were
Ana Breit (Stevens Point, WI/Pacelli),
Melissa Kohlhagen (Lodi, WI/Lodi), and
Lauren Dilley (Middleton, WI/Middleton) finishing 14th, 20th, and 22nd respectively, with times of 22:55.7, 23:12.3, and 23:12.8
Rounding out the Pointers' top five was
Paige Haberkorn (Oconomowoc, WI/Oconomowoc), finishing 27th with a time of 23:21.9.
UW-Eau Claire placed three runners in the top-five on the day to take home the conference title, 37 points ahead of second place UW-La Crosse. UW-Oshkosh finished third with 71 points, 19 points ahead of UW-Stevens Point.
