CUBA CITY, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team placed fourth in the nine-team field at the 2012 WIAC Cross Country Championships at Cole Acres Golf Course hosted by UW-Platteville.

Evan Cooper (Delafield, WI/Kettle Moraine) finished as the Pointers' top runner at 15^th overall with a time of 25:29.5. 

The next Pointer runners to come across the line were Logan Seipel (Colfax, WI/Colfax), Spencer Houk (Sun Prairie/Sun Prairie), and Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) finishing 20th, 21st, and 22nd respectively, with times of 25:38.4, 25:41.2, and 25:42.6.

Rounding out the Pointers top five was Dennis Haak (Belleville, WI/Verona), finishing 25th with a time of 25:46.8.

UW-La Crosse placed five runners in the top-10 on the day to take home the conference title, 59 points ahead of second-place UW-Eau Claire.  UW-Platteville finished third with 92 points, six points ahead of UW-Stevens Point.
