NEW ORLEANS, La. - Senior Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) was named an USFTCCCA All-Region honoree following the weekend's NCAA regional championship meets.

Sullivan was among a total of 560 student-athletes to receive the honor after finishing in the top 35 runners at the eight regional championship meets. 

The senior led the Pointers to an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Saturday in Rock Island, Ill. Sullivan finished 34th in 25:17.

"Dan was our team leader all year and he supplied outstanding leadership to the young Pointers squad this year," said head coach Rick Witt. "He is a true middle distance runner, which means cross country is not his strongest suit, but he still showed that he is one of the premier cross country runners in the Midwest region."
