Jessica Ruch (Fond du Lac, WI/Fond du Lac) scored in the final minutes of the game to give the Pointers a 2-1 victory over the Eagles of UW-La Crosse.

Senior
Angela Gallow (Menasha, WI/Menasha) put the Pointers on the board in the 42nd minute after she was fouled in the penalty box and awarded a penalty kick. Gallow sent the shot past a diving goalkeeper to put the Pointers up 1-0.
In the 63rd minute, the Eagle's Jenna Rosienski headed in a corner kick from Taylor Baker to knot the score at 1-1.
The Eagles and Pointers went back and forth across the field until seniors
Kim Jobke (Menomonee Falls, WI/Sussex Hamilton) and Ruch broke free from the Eagle defense and Ruch punched in the eventual game-winner in the 85th minute.
Goalkeeper
Kristen Churkey (Mosinee, WI/D.C. Everest) recorded the shutout, tallying seven saves, all in the second half. Her counterpart Sagan Pizzingrille also recorded seven saves.
UW-Stevens Point (11-3, 5-2 WIAC) returns to action Saturday, Oct. 20 as it travels to Whitewater to take on the firstplace Warhawks in the last conference game of the regular season. Action set for 5 p.m.
