WHITEWATER – Junior Cody Koback (Plover/SPASH) threw 7.1 innings, allowing just one run while striking out five and scored twice including his eighth home run of the season as the UW-Stevens Point baseball team stayed alive in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional with a 5-1 victory over Hamline University at Prucha Field. 

The Pointers advance to play UW-Whitewater in the Friday's final game at 4 p.m.

The Pipers out-hit the Pointers 10-9 but the Pointers plated two runs in the eighth inning and added an insurance run in the ninth to rebound from a loss to St. Scholastica on Thursday. 

Eric Fritz (Custer/SPASH) finished the day as the only player with multiple hits for the Pointers.
