STEVENS POINT- UW-Stevens Point senior Ben Engelland (Neenah/Neenah) and sophomore Jordan Kust (Clintonville, WI/Shawano) were the only Pointers to notch victories on Friday night as the third-ranked Augsburg Auggies (8-5-1) defeated the 18th ranked Pointers (9-9, 2-2 WIAC), 30-7 at Berg Gymnasium in a non-conference matchup.

Engelland, who is currently ranked second in Division III, was not challenged much by Brad Baus, currently ranked sixth in Division III, defeating him 10-1 as he picked up one of the Pointers only two victories in the second match of the night.

Kust was the only other Pointer to pick up a victory as he defeated Boyd Suparat in dramatic fashion with a late take-down, defeating him by a score of 7-6.

UW-Stevens Point (9-9) returns to the mat tomorrow afternoon as they take on conference foe UW-Eau Claire (3-13, 1-1 WIAC). The match is set for 12:00 noon. Saturday will also be Senior Day for the Pointer wrestlers.
