EAU CLAIRE – The UW-Stevens Point wrestling team posted a fourth place finish 33^rd annual Blugold Invite Saturday afternoon at UW-Eau Claire. Individually, the Pointers collected a second place, two third place finishes and five fourth place finishes.  

Steve Wozniak (Neillsville/Greenwood) finished second in the heavyweight division, recording two victories before dropping an 11-5 decision to Chad Johnson of third-ranked Augsburg College. 

Brandon Jochem (Hustisford/Hustisford) and Shane Sweeney (Madison, WI/Edgewood) each posted third place finishes, Jochem at 197 pounds and Sweeney at 141 pounds. 

Elsewhere Jordan Kust (Clintonville, WI/Shawano), Kris Magruder (Racine/Case), Ben Strobel (Neenah, WI/Neenah) and Andrew Dilworth (Greendale/Greendale) each finished fourth.

The Pointers now return home for their final two duals of the regular season when they host third-ranked Augsburg College on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. and then host UW-Eau Claire on Saturday, Feb. 19 at Noon.
