ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – After shooting almost 52 percent from the floor in the opening half, the Pointers were held to just 33 percent shooting in the second as No. 21 UW-Stevens Point fell to fourth-ranked Vikings of Augustana College 69-64.

A back-and-forth battle in the game's opening half kept the game close, with neither team able to build more than a seven-point lead. The host Vikings were the first team to take a lead, as Augustana built a six point edge, 11-5, five minutes into the contest.

UW-Stevens Point responded and built a seven-point edge, 26-19 with seven minutes remaining. Augustana slowly chipped away at the UWSP lead until the advantage was just three, 32-29, at the break.

In the second half, Augustana fought back to tie the score at 36-all and kept the score close, finally going in front for good at the 11:17 mark, 43-41.  The basket by the Vikings sparked a 12-0 run.
