STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point men's basketball head coach Kent Dernbach has announced his team's schedule for the 2026-27 season. The Pointers will play 12 home games, including four matchups against fellow NCAA Tournament participants.

UWSP will open the 2026-27 campaign at home against St. Olaf on Nov. 11. Last season, the Pointers earned a nine-point win in Minnesota, the second-straight win over the Oles.
 
A pair of away games follow with a visit to UMAC champion North Central on Nov. 14 and a first-ever matchup against Centre College in the Windy City Showcase on Nov. 22.
 
November 24 sees Mary Hardin-Baylor visit Quandt Fieldhouse for a rematch of last season's NCAA Tournament opener for both teams.
 
Four days later, the Pointers head south to take on Edgewood in Madison. UWSP will then travel to 2024 national champions Trine on Dec. 5. The Pointers defeated the then-No. 1 Thunder in Quandt in 2024.
 
A week later, the Pointers host another NCAA Tournament opponent in Saint John's as part of the Pointer Invite presented by Beyond Sports. UWSP will also play Dubuque with Trine coming to town to fill out the tournament field.
 
Another first-time matchup awaits as the Pointers travel to the Orlando Classic to take on Wooster on Dec. 19. The Pointers face Coe the next day in Florida.
 
Non-conference play wraps up with NACC co-champions MSOE in town for the Sentry Classic on Dec. 29.
The Pointers open conference play at home against UW-Stout on Jan. 2. UWSP is 42-8 in the last 50 games against the Blue Devils.
 
Back-to-back road games follow with visits to UW-Oshkosh and UW-Platteville. Jan 13 and Jan. 16 see UW-Whitewater and UW-Eau Claire come to Stevens Point for consecutive home games.
 
The Pointers then head out on the longest road trip of the season with four-straight conference away games from Jan. 20 through Feb. 3.
 
UWSP will then host four-straight home games beginning on Feb. 6 against UW-Oshkosh. UW-Platteville, UW-La Crosse and UW-River Falls round out the homestand with Alumni Day versus UWL and Senior Day against UWRF. The regular season concludes at UW-Eau Claire on Feb. 20. The Pointers swept UWO and UWEC last season.
 
The Pointers finished the 2025-26 season with a 19-8 mark and an NCAA Tournament appearance for the first time since 2018. Led by all-region selection Josiah Butler (Appleton, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran), the Pointers return all five starters plus WIAC Co-Newcomer of the Year Max Raimer (Sun Prairie, Wis./East).
