APPLETON – Katherine Larson finishes fourth and Nicole Hillman (Marshall, WI/Marshall) finished eighth as the UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team posted a second place finish at the second annual Gene Davis Invitational at the Reid Municipal Golf Course Saturday morning.

The Pointers filled the field with many of their first and second year runners, and came out with the second place showing.  Larson's time of 24:32 in the 6k race was tops for the Pointers, while Hillman finished with a time of 25:28. 

Elsewhere, Paige Haberkorn (Oconomowoc, WI/Oconomowoc) finished 11th with a time of 25:42, Kati Long (Green Bay, WI/Preble) finished 16th with a time of 26:06 and Molly Cobb (Madison, WI/LaFollette) finished 22nd with a time of 26:52. 

Amanda Ross (Wilton, WI/Brookwood) finished 23rd and Erin Vollmer (West Allis, WI/Hale) finished 25th to round out the top-7 place finishers for UWSP. 

UW-Stevens Point returns to action on Oct. 15 with the Oshkosh pre-national race.
