RIVER FALLS - The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team improved to 14-6 overall and 5-1 in conference play on Saturday thanks to a 3-1 victory over UW-River Falls.  The Pointers won by scores of 25-19, 25-13, 18-25, 25-17. 

Christina Brinkman (Bristol, WI/Westosha Central) had a game-high 14 kills on 42 attempts and Kati Rau (Dorchester, WI/Colby) recorded seven.  Alexis Hartman (Deer Park, IL/Lake Zurich) tallied 27 assists.  Morgan Bartkowiak (Slinger, WI/Slinger) tallied 10 total blocks on the afternoon, five solo and five assisted.

UW-River Falls had four players finish with double-digit kills, but hit just .132 on the afternoon.

UW-Stevens Point will return to western Wisconsin for the UW-Stout tournament Friday and Saturday, October 14-15 in Menomonie.
