MENOMONIE – Christina Brinkman (Bristol, WI/Westosha Central) tallied a team-high 14 kills and Sarah Wildish (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) added 12 as the UW-Stevens Point volleyball team improved to 4-1 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play with a 3-1 victory over the Blue Devils of UW-Stout on Friday evening. 

The Pointers won by scores of 25-19, 25-22, 20-25, 25-22. 

Brinkman also led the Pointers with 22 digs and Alexis Hartman (Deer Park, IL/Lake Zurich) had a team-best 32 assists.

Kate Mikutowski was the only Blue Devil to finish with double-digit kills, recording 11 on the night.

UWSP (11-6, 4-1 WIAC) returns to action with 12 p.m. match-up on Saturday, Oct. 8 at UW-River Falls.
