STEVENS POINT - The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team improved to 12-6 on Tuesday evening with a pair of nonconference victories over Lawrence University (3-0) and St. Norbert College (3-1). 

UWSP defeats LU 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-17)
UWSP defeats SNC 3-1 (17-25, 25-16, 25-19, 26-16)

Junior Christina Brinkman (Bristol, WI/Westosha Central) led the way with 23 kills on the evening while freshman Sarah Wildish (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) added 19.  Alexis Hartman (Deer Park, IL/Lake Zurich) had 64 assists in the two matches and added three service aces.
 
On the evening the Pointers tallied 19.5 blocks including seven solo and five assisted from Morgan Bartkowiak (Slinger, WI/Slinger). 
 
UW-Stevens Point returns to action on Friday, October 7 with a WIAC match-up with UW-Stout.  Game time is set for 7 p.m.
