COLFAX, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team got a runner-up finish from Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna) on Saturday as the Pointers finished second in the nine team field at the 34th annual WIAC Women's Cross Country Championship held at Whitetail Golf Course. 

Haen and teammate Julia Colling (Maplewood, MN/North) both finished in the top-10 at the event, with Haen posting a time of 22:07 and Colling posting a time of 22:46, finishing ninth. 

Elsewhere, Annie Olson (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater) finished with a 25th place finish with a time of 23:42, Haley Steig (Osseo, WI/Osseo-Fairchild) finished 26th with a time of 23:43 and Katie Larson (Milwaukee, WI/West Allis Central) finished 32nd with a time of 23:59.

UW-Eau Claire won their fifth won its fifth consecutive conference championship, outpacing the field with just 41 points, 53 ahead of UW-Stevens Point.  UW-Oshkosh's Christy Cazzola finished as the individual conference champion, outpacing Haen with a time of 21:27.
