Volleyball goes 4-0 on the weekend with a 2-0 Saturday

UWSP vs. Dubuque Box | UWSP vs. UWS Box

MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team went a perfect 4-0 on the weekend and capped the UW-Stout Invitational Tournament with a pair of victories on Saturday, defeating Dubuque and host UW-Stout. 

The Pointers tallied a 3-0 victory (25-16, 25-13, 25-21) over Dubuque in the day's opening match before defeating the Blue Devils 3-1 (25-14, 25-10, 20-25, 25-17). 

Christina Brinkman (Bristol, WI/Westosha Central) led the way with 25 kills on 56 attempts on the day while Kati Rau (Dorchester, WI/Colby) added 15, Morgan Bartkowiak (Slinger, WI/Slinger) chipped in with 14 and Sarah Wildish (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) added 13. 

Alexis Hartman (Deer Park, IL/Lake Zurich) had 52 assists on the day and joined Bartkowiak in recording five blocks.

UW-Stevens Point (18-6, 5-1 WIAC) next travels to UW-Platteville for a 7 p.m. match-up with the Pioneers on Oct. 19.
