MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Pointer women's soccer team earned their second victory of their two game road trip with a 2-0 shutout of Rhodes College.

Sammy Greer put the Pointers on the board in the 37th minute when she found the back of the net off an assist from Angela Gallow. 

In the second half, Vicki Bieschke added the Pointers second goal of the day, scoring off a corner kick by Mary Jean Cornelius.

Liz Hunter finished the day with four saves in goals for the Pointers, recording her third straight shutout of the season. 

The Pointers return to action on Friday, Sept. 10 at the Point Soccer Bowl when they face the University of Redlands (Calif.) in a 4:30 p.m. tilt.
