ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna) finished fourth and Claire Roberts (Oakfield/Horace Mann) finished eighth to pace the UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team to a second place finish at the 2010 Brissman/Lundeen Cross Country Invitational at the Saukie Golf Course Friday afternoon.

The University of Northern Iowa tallied 74 team points to take the event team title while the Pointers collected 120 points to finish second. Olivet Nazarene finished third, Truman State finished fourth and St. Norbert College finished fifth and had the individual champion of the 24 team, 285 runner field.

Haen posted a time of 22:02.1 to finish fourth while Roberts posted a time of 22:25.0.

Elsewhere in the top-five for the Pointers, Shaun Krueger (Kiel/Kiel) finished 11th, Sarah Glunn (Arbor Vitae/Lakeland Union) finished 45th and Abby Reynolds (Windlake, WI/Warterford Union) finished 52nd.

Also running at the event were Nikki Bruhn (Marshfield, WI/Marshfield), who finished 63rd and Kelsey Laska (Roscoe, IL/Hononegah) who finished 67th.

The Pointers return to action on Friday, Oct. 1 when they travel to South Bend, Ind. For the Notre Dame Invitational.
