Pointers put chill on Polar Bears

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The Pointers took full advantage of 10 walks and three hit batters, posting an 11 run fifth inning on their way to a 14-2 win over the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College.

Cody Koback picked up the win for the Pointers, throwing five scoreless innings. He scattered five hits on the day. Jacob Herbst (Park Falls, WI/Park Falls) came in for the final four innings of relief work.

Offensively, Travis Tuschen (Sun Prairie/Sun Prairie) and Eric Fritz finished the day 3-4 at the plate.

The Pointers close out their spring trip on Thursday with a pair of games against Allegheny (Pa.) and Lawrence.
