WAVERLY, Iowa –
Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna),
Sarah Glunn (Arbor Vitae/Lakeland Union) and
Claire Roberts (Oakfield/Horace Mann) each placed in the top-50, helping the UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team place 21st overall at the NCAA Division III Championship at Wartburg College Saturday afternoon.
Haen, a junior from Kaukauna, finished 44th overall with a time of 22:10.8. Glunn and Roberts finished just behind in 48th and 50th with times of 22:12.4 and 22:14.8 respectfully.
Also contributing to the UW-Stevens Point 21st place finish were
Shaun Krueger (Kiel/Kiel),
Kelsey Laska (Roscoe, IL/Hononegah),
Annie Olson (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater) and
Nikki Bruhn (Marshfield, WI/Marshfield). The Pointers finished the day with a total time of 1:53:13.9.
Middlebury took the overall championship with 185 points while Washington (MO) finished runner-up with 193. UW-Stevens Point finished with 485 team points.
UW-Eau Claire finished fourth overall and UW-Oshkosh brought home a 16th place finish.
